Mission Statement

New York based Armitage Gone! Dance seeks to expand the boundaries of contemporary dance by combining classical ballet technique with fractal geometry, improvisation and contemporary practices to create a distinct dance idiom. The organization is dedicated to the creation of new dance works and fosters collaborative efforts among dancers, visual artists and composers to develop a new performance experience, while offering residence and educational opportunities to emerging dancers, choreographers, and students, building audiences and fostering community both at home and on tour.
